With over 7 years of Social Work experience. I have worked with diverse clients who have a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, life transitions, race related stress, difficulties related to social justice, mass incarceration and LGBTQ issues. I also helped many people who have experienced systemic stress and or complex emotional abuse. My therapy style is compassionate and focused on creating a safe environment. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, individuality and understanding. Therefore, I incorporate an intersectional perspective that honors ones gender identity, sexuality, race, nationality and so on.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive-behavioral therapy is an approach that helps clients understand how negative thought pattern or unhelpful thoughts impact our feelings and how these emotions influence our behaviors. These behaviors subsequently could produce certain unwanted outcomes and reinforce our thoughts and feelings. This approach assists the client in recognizing, evaluating the validity of, and correcting unhealthy beliefs at the core of our thoughts.
